Beverly A. Leo, age 89 of North Canton, passed away on September 4, 2022 after an brief illness. Beverly was born in Canton on March 2, 1933 to the late James and Jeanette (DePello) Herdlicka. A lifelong resident of Canton and North Canton, she was a 1951 graduate of Timken Vocational High school. Through the years, “Bev” attended mass at St. Peter Catholic Church and at St. Paul Catholic Parish in North Canton. After marrying the love of her life, Ralph, in 1952, Bev chose to be a full time wife and eventually a mother. Other than her family, her passion was collecting oriental art for her home. She also had a love for animals, especially dogs. She always put her family first and loved to cook and feed anyone who stopped by for a visit. Bev was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Along with her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Ralph L. Leo and sister Janet Moser. She is survived by her son Eric Leo of Columbus, Ohio; her daughter Desiree Leo-Wilson (Bob) of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and grandchildren Jack Wilson and Angie Wilson both of Oregon.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 11 am to 12:45 pm. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 1 pm., with Chaplain Richard Harding officiating. Interment will follow at North Canton Cemetery. The family would like to say thank you to all of the nurses and staff at the Windsor Medical Center for taking care of Mrs. Leo, in addition to the ending support of Aultman Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorial donations, in Beverly's name, may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
