Bruno Domino Obituary

Bruno Domino (Dominijanni)

Age 86 of Canton, Ohio passed away after an extended illness and a broken heart on May 25, 2013. He was surrounded by his loving family, at home where he resided with his son and family. Bruno was born on August 28, 1926 in Sant’Andrea, Ionio, Italy. He came to the United States when he was 21 years old. After working several years in Kentucky building bridges and highways, he relocated to Canton, Ohio and met the love of his life, Victoria (Frustaci). They married, raised four children and celebrated 63 years of marriage together before Victoria’s passing in August of 2012. Bruno retired from the Canton Ford Motor Forging Plant after working there for 42 years. He was an advocate of higher education and was proud to have educated all of his children. Bruno also instilled in his children the importance of family and the values of strong work ethics. Bruno enjoyed playing cards, bocce, bowling, and especially gardening. Nothing pleased him more than to have his family and friends enjoy the Italian figs and pears from his trees, his delicious tomatoes and peppers, as well as the basil he grew. He also maintained concord grape vines, enjoyed his hobby of wine making and continued traditions annually as he made sopressata (an Italian sausage). Bruno was a member of the Sant’Andrea Men’s Club and the Ben V. Marconi Sons of Italy Lodge 1628. He was also a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church of Canton (Christ the Servant Parish). Bruno is preceded in death by his wife, Victoria (Frustaci), parents Frank and Adelina Domino, in-laws: Andrea and Marianna Frustaci, son, Frank V. Domino and grandson, Joseph B. Armogida. He is survived by his sister Caterina Cosentino of Ellicot City, Maryland. Bruno is also survived by his children Adeline and Salvatore (Armogida), Marianna Domino and John Coblentz, Andre and Teri Domino, and daughter-in-law Thea Domino. He is also survived by grandchildren Luigi (Shelia) Armogida, Marissa (Tony) Shulik, Christopher (Lorren) Lovric, Nicholas (Andrea) Lovirc, Andrea (fiance’ Jiries Dawaher) Lovric, Natalia (fiance’ Domenic Ranalli) Domino, Frank Domino, Vittoria Domino, and Karen Domino, as well as great grandchildren Julia and Joseph Armogida, Nina and Bruno Shulik, and Gabriel Dawaher.
