Cecelia Spitale Obituary
Cecelia C. (Spino) Spitale, age 95 of Canton, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. Born in Canton to the late Saverio and Philomena Spino, she was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish. Cecelia was a member of several women's organizations at the church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Angelo Spitale; three sisters Josephine Denayer, Lucy Gocek, and Yolanda Torre; and one brother Pat Spino. She is survived by her sons Vince (Linda) Spitale, Angelo (Connie) Spitale, Jay (Chris) Spitale, and her best friend and daughter Teresa Spitale. Also survived by brother Sam Spino; 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; lifelong friends, her brother, Sam Spino, Mary Castellaneta, Nesta Cammel and Mary Failla all of whom she loved dearly. Family and friends will be received Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank Bethany Nursing Home for their tremendous care and compassion they showed to their mother.
