Charles D. Park I, age 77 of Canton, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 3, 1944 to the late Charles and Louise (Migliorino) Park. Charles was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea during The Vietnam War. He was also self-employed sales representative for Crowne Chemical for 19 years, work which he took pride in and enjoyed. Charles took advantage of every opportunity to spend with his large, close-knit family. He loved traveling with his wife and looked forward to annual trips to Las Vegas with his bothers and cousins. He will be deeply missed by many.
Charles is survived by his wife, Anne McGrew; children Charles D. Park II of Uniontown and Danielle McElroy of Alpharetta, Georgia; his seven grandchildren Tasya Patterson, Eric McElroy, Hunter & Gavin Johnson, Gianna Park, Charles D. Park III, and Brinley Park. Also survived by one great-granddaughter Remi Marie Patterson, brothers Gary Park (Cindy Hart) of Ellijay, Georgia and Brian (Teresita) Park of Pembroke Pines, Florida, along with an extensive list of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. Memorial services to begin in the funeral home at 3 p.m., with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Portage Animal Protective League (www.portageapl.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) in Charles' name.
