Concetta “Connie” J. Lanzo, age 99 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. She was born in Canton on January 28, 1922 to the late John and Mary (Clemente) Mittica. Connie retired from Carm's Food and Aspro. She was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, where she was very active in crafts and Miraculous Medal of St. Anthony's. Connie enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City and Amish Country, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene Lanzo; daughter Cynthia Daverio; son-in-law Daniel Pellegrini; daughter-in-law Mary Rose Lanzo; and four sisters Theresa Pandoli, Josephine Monteleone, Mary Ginnetti, and Phyllis Ziccardi.
Connie is survived by her children Kathy Pellegrini and Eugene Lanzo; eight grandchildren Danny (Diane) Pellegrini, Michelle (Jason) Pellegrini, Danielle Black, Joseph (Samantha) Daverio, Eugene Lanzo, Dina (Chad) Himes, Christopher (Candace) Lanzo, and Ashley (Jason) Holderbaum.; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations, in Connie's name, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
