David M. Mannos, age 54 of Canton, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. He was born in New Martinsville, W.V. On July 24, 1967 to the late Gene and Mary (Farnsworth) Parsons-Mannos. David has worked for over 25 years as an OTR trucker, most recently as an owner-operator with Daily Express doing heavy haul. He enjoyed the open road but looked forward to family time when off the road.
Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister Dianna Gardener and niece Candice Cunningham. He is survived by his half brother Gene (Liz) Parsons and half sister Gayle (Michael) Thompson; aunt and uncle Don and Kathleen McClure (Mom and Dad ); niece Ashley (Matthew) Fowler of Carrollton and nephew Edward Charles II (Sarah) Gardener of Canton; step-children Steven Bowe, Tyler Bowe and Kristen Bowe; grand-nieces Carenda and Kristina, grand-nephews Cameron, Xzavier, Cayson, Jonathan, Devilin, and brother-in-law and dear friend Chuck Gardener.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dan Deem officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Samaritan's Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org), in honor of David's memory.
