David R. Sirgo passed away on April 3, 2022 surrounded by his family. David was born and grew up in Canton, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Joanna, and together they raised two beautiful daughters. He had a great sense of humor, and even in his illness, he did his best to make his family laugh and give them good memories. David was a successful businessman and provider, but his proudest accomplishment was his family. He leaves behind his wife, Joanna, of 58 years, daughters Cathi (Greg) Blate and Criseyda (John) Dowd, grandchildren Jenna (David) Gonzalez, David Blate and Graceyn Dowd, great-granddaughter Isla Kate Gonzalez, brother Tom (Susie) Sirgo, and countless family members and lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Octavio (Tubby) and Sophia (Hope) Sirgo. David was a private man and probably wouldn’t want a fussy obituary or overdone service, but he would have wanted everyone to know that he liked pie and cookies. Calling hours will be at Rossi Family Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 3 pm, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Haralambos Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
