Donna M. (Volzer) Bozeka

Donna M. (Volzer) Bozeka, age 92 of North Canton, passed away early Saturday, June 12, 2021. She was born in Canton to the late Andrew and Maude Volzer on March 19, 1929. Donna graduated from Lincoln High School, and after was employed by Stark County Job and Family Services as a case worker, retiring in 1983 after fifteen years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. Donna enjoyed traveling and cooking, but above all, she loved her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Stephen Bozeka; daughter George-Ann Brown; three sisters Helen Bowers, Eunice Fletcher, and Marion Gossett; and brother Ted Volzer.

Donna is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law Andrea and David Downs of Shelby, Ohio, Theanna and John Orr of North Canton, and Bill Brown of Cincinnati; daughter-in-law Suzanne Bozeka of Canton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Saturday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the church at 1 p.m., with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Canton Endowment Fund for Student Loans, the North Canton Tree of Life, or Crossroads Hospice.
