Gerald M. Sinkovich age 80 of Canton, passed away Saturday. He was born in Alliance, OH to the late John and Dolores Sinkovich. He was a graduate of Alliance High School. Gerald retired from the Ohio Department of Taxation after 37 years of service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Army National Guard and the Alliance Jaycees. He was a past-president of the Alliance Ambassadors, past-chairman of the Carnation Parade, and a past-director of the Carnation Festival for eight years. He enjoyed hunting, Lake Erie fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Gerald is survived by his wife Christina (Dominik) Sinkovich, sons Michael (Shirley), Greg and Chad Sinkovich, grandchildren Brittani, John, Lindsay, Brandon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 3 to 4 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with services to follow at 4 pm, Pastor Mark Williams officiating.
