Gloria M. (Moreno) Morgese, loving mother and grandmother, age 96 of Canton, passed away Wednesday morning with her daughter by her side. She was born in Canton to the late Thomas and Mary (Scavelli) Moreno. Gloria was a 1943 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was an avid card player and in her younger days an avid bowler. Gloria was a waitress for 30 years at the Arcadia Grill, then worked five years at the Mayfair Restaurant. She retired from Napoli's after 6 years of service. She was preceded in death by her sisters Constance Shaw and Anna Nichols. Gloria is survived by her daughter Flo (Ed) Meyer, granddaughter Cristina Meyer, nieces Kim (John) Anthony, Karen (Jim) Ebey, nephews Tom, Bill, Ron, and Bob Nichols, great nephew John (Dane) Burkhardt-Kettwich, great-great niece Mallory Burkhardt-Kettwich and numerous cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 1:00 pm, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Very Reverend John E. Sheridan, STL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gloria's name may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of The Pines for all their loving care.
