Harry Kotagides age 84 of Canton, passed away Tuesday evening. Born in Canton to the late Harry and Nicoliny (John) Kotagides, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Juliana (Namciu) Kotagides, brother John Kotagides, and sister-in-law Barbara (Amiss) Kotagides.
Harry was a 1957 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and the Canton F.O.P. He was an Army veteran. Harry retired from the Canton City Police Department after 25 years of service rising to the rank of Lieutenant. He also taught law enforcement at McKinley High School for many years. He was an avid golfer and card player.
Harry is survived by his daughters Lori (Mark) Boron, Pamela Kotagides, grandson Nicholas (Savannah Fox) Boron, brother Jim (Olga) Kotagides, and caregiver and BFF Rachael Ungashick. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 11:00 am, Rev. Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Entombment will be in Northlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Harry's name may be made to the Canton F.O.P.
