Herman Haren Obituary

Herman H. Haren, age 95 of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. He was born in Louisville on July 14, 1926 to the late Harold and Freida (Bishop) Haren. Herman was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII. He later worked for many years as a brick mason and retired.  Herm had many passions, including golf, cards, travel, ice cream, daily mass, and most importantly spending time with family especially when asked over for supper.  He never had an interest in the material things.  It was always more about the adventure and who he could spend it with.

Along with his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his sisters Gladys Reno, Eileen Foltz, Jane Ferry, and Frances Haren; brothers Russell, Marvin, and Charles Haren; and grandson Eric Addessi.

Herman is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Lucille; children Dan (Teresa) Haren, Nancy (Rick) Addessi, Debbie (Larry) Bergert, Dave (Sue) Haren, Ed Haren, Rob Haren, and Mike (Robyn) Haren; eighteen grandchildren Valerie Reynolds, Julie (Jason) Hance, Melanie (Kevin) Lias, Kellie Addessi (Dave Kephart), Jamie (David) Durstine, Tamara (Blake) Perkins, Katie (Nick) Babic, Corey Haren, Troy Herman Haren, Rosie Haren, Stephanie (Matthew) Haren Beeler, Eddie (Jamie) Haren, Adam Haren, Sarah (Derek) Lindeman, John Haren, Brock Haren, Paige Haren, and Kurt Junior Haren. Also survived by twenty-four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother Bill Haren; and sisters Mary Weisburn, Margie (Vic) Langhanke, and Betty (Richard) Eslich.
