James J. Lerario

James “Jimmy” J. Lerario, age 67 of Canton, Ohio, passed away on March 20, 2023. Jimmy was born in Canton on June 22, 1955 to the late Joseph and Angeline Lerario. He was a 1973 graduate of Canton McKinley High School where he was awarded First Team All-Ohio Football and earned a scholarship to Kent State University. In 1995, Jimmy was also inducted into the McKinley Football Hall of Fame. He later became a professional contractor establishing and operating his privately owned company, “Shuttle Remodeling.” Jimmy also became a loving Dad and Papa. Jimmy was preceded in death by brothers Joseph Jr. and Mark Lerario. He is survived by daughter Caitlyn Lerario; granddaughter Scarlett Rose; sister Diane (Lerario) Kimble; and brother John Lerario. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish at 10 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as celebrant.
