Joseph E. Ross age 70, passed away Thursday afternoon. Born in Canton on June 25, 1950 to the late Laura and Edward Pucci, he was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Ross and David George a special friend of the Ross family. Joe graduated from Canton Lincoln High School in 1969 and attended Kent State University. He was employed in the flooring industry for 50 years, first as a professional installer, then as a certified flooring inspector. His professional organization memberships include the Flooring Contractors Association and the National Institute of Certified Flooring Inspectors. Joe is survived by his wife of 12 years Lori (Lear) Ross whom he married in 2009, daughter Nicole (Donnie) Benninghoff, grandson Adrian Benninghoff, all of Cape Coral, Florida, step-son Josh Timmerman of Minerva, special family friends Rosemary, Victor, and Paula George. Joe was an avid outdoorsman. He traveled the United Sates and Canada to hunt and fish, realizing his dream of fishing in Alaska several years ago. Joe also loved to golf and and had the opportunity to play many courses in the United Stats. His other hobbies include woodworking and classic cars. Joe will be remember for his sense of humor, his mischievous fun-loving nature, and the deep love for his family and his many friends. Joe fought is cancer for more than 10 years with courage and an unfailing positive attitude. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4 to 6 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with Memorial services to follow at 6:00 pm, Deacon Ron Reolfi officiating.
