Josephine “Pina” Marcantonio, age 93, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 and is now united in peace with her late husband, Ezio. She was born in Sulmona, Italy on June 15, 1929 to the late James and Assunta Letteri. Pina will forever be our a beacon of patience, resilience and strength. She was married to Ezio for 57 years, whom she said was “the best part of her life;” they lived a life of dedication to their family. She was “the Italian” mom and Nonna, and her family was her world. Her beautiful smile and laugh, along with her legendary cooking and hospitality, graced everyone who knew her! She worked at Walker’s Restaurant in Louisville, Ohio for many years sharing her gift of cooking.

Along with her parents, Pina was preceded in death by her husband Ezio; brother Tony Letteri; twin sister Carmella Letteri; and cousin Lina Alberici of Laguna Niguel, California.

Pina is survived by her beloved children Phil (Peggy) Marcantonio, Mary (David) Bird, and Anthony (Jessica) Marcantonio; grandchildren Ashley (Joe) Volta, Alexandria (Doug) Sanders, Adrianna (Stephen) Yankulov, Phil Marcantonio III, Nicolette (Frank) Cikach, Jr., Olivia Marcantonio, and Matteo Marcantonio; great-grandchildren Isla Mae Cikach, Dominic Sanders, Anthony Sanders, and one more Sanders on the way, Kesslyn Volta, Callie Volta. Pina and our family were blessed with an amazing team of caring and loving professionals - her angels - on her journey to heaven the past few months. The family would like to thank everyone with Absolute Hospice, Summa Health, The Village of St. Edward and Heritage Crossing who provided mom care with love. Special heartfelt thanks to Erica Moyer and Tara Garbrandt with Absolute Hospice; Britni Wrobel and the Nurses of 3W and 3N at Summa Health and Dr. William F.
