Kali C. Stamaton of Canton, Ohio passed away to the Lord peacefully at the home of her daughter’s with whom she resided on January 2, 2021. She was 89 years old. There will be a funeral service on January 7, 2021 at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church at 251 25th St. Canton Ohio at 11:30 am. Kali was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1931 to Gus and Sophia Maloudis, both Greek immigrants. She is predeceased by her husband William Stamaton whom she married in 1955. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her 3 children, Susan Fogel (husband Gary), Dean Stamaton, Bill Stamaton. She has a devoted sister Kathy Kolidakis (husband George). She is predeceased by her brother Nick Maloudis. She leaves behind her 4 beautiful grandchildren Ashley Fairburn (wife Tessa), and Ben Fogel. She devoted her later years helping raise her 2 grandchildren after the loss of their mother Sandy Stamaton, Sofia and Michel Stamaton. She is also survived by her niece, Barbara Restaino (husband Michael), and her nephew Nikitas Kolidakis (wife Allesandra). She was a driven and enthusiastic student completing her RN degree from St Elizabeth’s Hospital. She went on to complete her psychology degree from Geneva College, followed by her Master’s degree in social work from Pittsburgh University. She devoted her work life to mental health. She loved playing tennis, watching sports with her husband and sons, and cooking. She touched many lives throughout her life and all who knew her will remember her laughter, love, and her constant fast paced busy life taking care of others. A special thanks to Nancy, Lisa E, and Lisa W for helping care for my mom in her final days. Due to these challenging times, no public memorial service will be held. Kali had deep pride in her Greek heritage and Orthodoxy and In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, GOYA, or the Greek Dancers located at 251 25th St NW, Canton Ohio 44709.
