Kathleen L. (Hunter) Warner

Kathleen L. (Hunter) Warner age 70 of Canton passed away on Monday April 25. Born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William W. and Catherine (Topper) Hunter she was a graduate of Penn Hills High School. She continued her education at Slippery Rock University earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Special Education. Kathy worked as a Special Education teacher and Special Education Supervisor for Canton City Schools retiring after 28 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 19 years Vincent Warner, children Jessica (Brandon) Mitchell, Nathanial Warner, Ben (Deanna) Baier, Philip (Jenifer) Warner, four grandchildren Lily and Jack Warner, Luke Warner, Collin Baier, brother James (Marge) Hunter. Sister Deborah Hunter, and nephew Ian Moore. Family and fiends will be received on Wednesday May 4th from 6 to 8 pm at Rossi Family Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held on Thursday May 5th at 11am for family and invited friends at Rossi Funeral Home. Kathy was a light in this world. She was a dedicated professional serving the needs of the Special Education students and families in Canton City Schools for all of her career. She loved cooking, reading, shopping, camping in a trailer, and traveling. She could be found baking cookies for all the grand children’s birthdays and for the holidays. She also loved to shop and lunching with her girlfriends. She lived life with zest to the fullest until the very end. Her smile and loving nature filled any room. In lieu of flowers donations in Kathy’s name may be made to Canton Ex-News Boys charity. All proceeds go to needy students in the Canton City Schools.
