Leland "Lee" Dennis Ducey

Leland “Lee” Dennis Ducey, dedicated father of two daughters, Milissa and Christina Ducey, grandfather to Shyanne Victoria Blake, Kaylinn Christine Blake, and Christopher Shevell Blake, Jr., brother, uncle, and friend to many, lost a courageous fight against cancer on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the age of 63.

Lee was born to Charles, Sr. and Florence Ducey in Newark, Ohio on March 20, 1959 and spent his childhood in Canton, Ohio. After graduating from Glen Oak High School, he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked at Shaumburg Glass for 15 years as a warehouse manager and purchasing manager. He then founded Star Decorating and worked as an independent contractor for 30 years. After retiring, Lee enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing euchre, golf, and watching the Cleveland Browns.

Leland was preceded by his father Charles, Sr., mother Florence Ducey, and sister Patricia (Ron) Davis. He is survived by his daughters Milissa Ducey and Christina Ducey; three grandchildren; and family members Karen (John) Ullman, Charles (Debbie) Ducey, Jr., Gerry (Tom) Merrow, Brian (Pam) Ducey, Phillip Ducey, Mary Kay Ducey, and Sean (Jill) Ducey.

Lee will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty to family, and his loving heart.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday at Christ the Servant Parish from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin in the church at 1 p.m., with Rev. Fr. Scott Kopp as celebrant. Interment to follow at North Lawn Cemetery.
