Luisa (Pellegrini) Ruth

Luisa (Pellegrini) Ruth, age 86 of Canton, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021. She was born in Sora, Italy on January 25, 1935 to the late Vincent and Frances (Mammone) Pellegrini. Luisa was a Timken Vocational High School graduate and later was employed as a secretary by AEP. She was a member of Christ the Servant Parish and the Samaritan Table, also an avid square dancer and singer.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Ruth. Luisa is survived by children John (Spring) Metheney of Florida, Michael Metheney of North Canton, and Bill (Michelle) Metheney of Canton; grandchildren Kyle (Ashley) Metheney, William Metheney, and Angela Metheney; and six great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Anthony (Vicki) Pellegrini of Florida, Danny (Kathy) Pellegrini of Canton, and Frank (Renee) Pellegrini of Canton.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 29th at Christ the Servant Parish at 12 noon, with Msgr. Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
