Marc Joseph DiChiara, 55, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2020, following a brief battle with cancer. He was employed at Kempthorn Motors for many years, where he held the title of #1 Transmission Specialist, and was a devoted member of the Akron/Canton Miniature Airplane Club. Marc was the proud father of two daughters, his pride and joy.
Boating and camping gave him much happiness in life, as did many family vacations to Myrtle Beach. No one can forget how much he loved thrilling adventures on jet skis; the kind of adventures where there were no speed limits (as proven by several speeding tickets on Portage Lakes), and where the only indication of jet ski season being over was ice on the lake.
Marc’s family will fondly remember him as being the life of the party. Meals at Grandma & Grandpa Gabriele’s house hold some of the most beloved family memories. Marc sure knew how to make people laugh with his great sense of humor, and this included jokes to the cousins as they sat at the “kids” table well up into their 20s.
He is preceded in death by his father Harold (aka Tubee). He is survived by his mother and caregiver Gloria, daughters Danielle and Maria, sister Lisa (Jamie) Wojcik, brother Anthony (Stephanie Craft), nieces, a nephew, and many dear family and friends. A private funeral service will be held for family only.
