Maria O. (Dasco) Capaldi

Maria O. (Dasco) Capaldi, age 74, of Canton, passed away early Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family. Born in Tricarico, Italy to the late Sabato and Maddalena (Vizzuso) Dasco, she was a 1965 graduate of Timken Vocational High School. Maria was a member of St. Anthony/All Saint Catholic Parish and the Miraculous Medal Sodality. She had been employed with CINTAS Corporation, Small World Montessori, Shopper's Fair Department Store, and the Canton City Clerk of Courts. Maria is survived by her husband of 47 years Louis Capaldi, sons Nathan (Melanie) of Cuyahoga Falls, Samuel of Los Angeles, CA, and Alex (Kim Khoo) Capaldi of Decatur, GA, grandchildren Jacob, Zoe, and Olivia Capaldi, brother Pete (Kathy) Dasco, sisters Rosa (Joel Skolnik) Dasco, Antonietta (Bill) Poulos, brother-in-law Nathan (Sharon) Capaldi, Pasadena, CA, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:45 am at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 12 noon, Rev. Fr. Tom Kraszewski celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maria's name may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Karen Elliott of the Greater East Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, and to Kristi Shell and Faye Vlahos, of Home Instead Senior Care, for all their loving care of Maria.
