After her youngest daughter was born, she focused on being a stay-at-home Mother. She was a member of a bowling league at Park Center Lanes and a member of a neighborhood women’s card club in the 70’s and she was a cheer coach for North Canton Hoover “Midget football” in the 80’s. She previously enjoyed traveling with her family in their motor-home and camping at Atwood and Tappan Lakes. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in December 2020, undergoing months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy at Aultman Hospital. A special thank you to her medical staff that worked diligently to assist her medical needs.
Marty will be remembered for her beautiful blue eyes, always speaking what is on her mind, wanting to cook enough food for an army and her endless love. She would often say, “When I die, I don’t want anyone to cry, as I am still with you, only in a much better place.” Marty pre-planned her funeral and requested to be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Blessed Virgin section of Calvary Cemetery in Perry Township. A graveside burial will occur on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., pursuant to her wishes. All are encouraged to visit her gravesite and lay flowers in remembrance of her.
