Mary R. (Orlando) Castellaneta age 93 of Canton, passed away early Tuesday morning. Born in Canton to the late Anthony and Filomena (Grasso) Orlando, she was preceded in death by her husband Leo Castellaneta, sisters Lil Babbo, Rose Marks, brothers Frank, Dominic, Albert Orlando, and former son-in-law Jim Woods. Mary attended McKinley High School. She retired from Walsh University after 22 years of service as a head cook. She also worked catering for Charlie Brown's. Mary volunteered at Horace Mann bingo and bowled for John's Bar for many years. She is survived by her children Leona Woods, Philip and Fran Castellaneta, Rita and George Manos, eight grandchildren; Rick (Kristie) Woods, Traci (Bob) Bernard, Vince Castellaneta, Annie Castellaneta, Lennie (Allison) Castellaneta, Andrea (Brohn) Amstutz, Nicholas Manos and Matthew Manos, ten great grandchildren; Karly, Kyle, Lilleonna, Kaylee, Sophia, Leo, Teagan, Bryn, Lennon, and Vienna. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 11:00 am to 12 noon at Christ the Servant Parish with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at noon, Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano celebrant. Masks are required. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and staff of Bethany Nursing Home for all their compassionate and loving care.
