Obituary
Mary “Tina” (Protos) Pappas age 81 of Canton, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was devoted to her Orthodox Faith, family and grandchildren whom she adored. She always found a way to be there for everyone. She was an excellent cook and had a passion for baking and entertaining. Born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Nick and Bessie (Kosmidis) Protos, she was preceded in death by her brother Gerald and sister Athena. Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She is survived by her daughters Christina Skondras, Athena (Joe) Ostrowske, Nicole (Stephan) Condodemetraky, grandchildren Athena, Niko, Vasili, Ilias, Mihalis, Melina, Erasmia, great grandson Ramsey, siblings Sophia, Connie, Paul, Patricia, Cherri, Charles, Shirley, Nick, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday April 22, 2023 from 10-11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mary's name may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
