Obituary
Matthew “Frankie” Mayle, age 64 of Canton, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023. Born in Grafton, West Virginia to the late Audward B. and Rose Marie (Bevilock) Mayle, he was preceded in death by his son Brice Mayle and sister Sandra Kay Mayle. Frankie was a 1976 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, where he was Captain of the football, basketball, and baseball teams during his senior year. He went on to play football and baseball for Mount Union University. He later became the facility manager for First Friends Church.
Frankie is survived by his longtime companion Cheri Reese; daughter Lia Mayle, grandchildren Kindra, Isabella, Aris, and Milo; and Damon Saunders. Also survived by his sister Connie (Ray) Magee; brothers Eric (Linda) Mayle, Jeff (Sue) Mayle, Mickey (Teri) Mayle; many nieces and nephews; extended family John Ianigro, Andrea (Ryan) Risher, Jonathon Risher, Matt (Julie) Reese, Liam and Owen Reese; and special friend Mike Miday.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
