Monique (Monica) (Mickey) DeChiara age 92, passed away early Thursday morning on April 6, 2023 after an extended illness. Monique was born in Paris, France on November 26, 1930 to Georgette and Rigaletto Gelli. Monique was a retired employee of the Hoover Company where she worked for 37 years. In addition to her parents, Monique was proceeded in death by her loving husband Richard DeChiara, daughter Leslie Windberg, granddaughter Jennifer Black and brother Robert Gelli of Paris, France. She is survived by daughters Karen McKelley, Marsha (Barry) Black, son Robert (Bob) Dayton and step-children Daniel (Diane) DeChiara and Cathy (Jeff) Mutchler. She is survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 10 to 11 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:00 am, Mark Nodo officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Aultman Hospice and Compassionate Care to Crystal and Sabrina for all of their help and kindness. Also to the Health Care Aids who took such good care of our Mother during the long goodbye. Please also recognize the Alzheimer's Association for the unending help they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Stark County Humane Society.
