Nicholas William Eustathios
1932-2022
Canton's tiniest healthy baby weighed just 31 ounces when he was born on March 30, 1932. Nicholas “Nick” Eustathios was given emergency measures necessary to grow into a healthy man and he reportedly “responded perfectly in his capacity to absorb nourishment,” a trait his wife says he never outgrew. Nick flourished and lived to be 90 years old before passing away on July 15, 2022. Nick was born to the late William and Mary Eustathios. He married Roseann (Gallo) on October 15, 1972. He was a lifelong resident of Canton, and co-owner of the Candy Bowl Confectionery for 27 years. He was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Roseann; sister, Evelyn Eustathios; and brother Louis Eustathios (Bonnie); nieces Cassandra, Stephanie and Pamela; nephews Joe and William, nine great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece; and goddaughter Talia Hardesty. Private funeral services were held on July 21st at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment was at North Lawn Cemetery.
