Nicholas "Nick" Pace Obituary

Nicholas (“Nick”) J. Pace

On Saturday, June 26, 2021, Nicholas Joseph Pace, loving father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 77. Nick was born on March 17, 1944 to Joseph and Carmela (Fudoli) Pace. He was born in Dover and lived in Canton. He is survived by his 4 children, who will cherish and miss every minute they had with him, Nicholas (Liane) Pace, Ashley (Jamie) Benitez, Brittany (Elliott) Stephen, and Eric Pace, and his 5 grandchildren, who he loved so dearly, Hudson, Quinn, Ellis, Logan, and Parker. He is survived by his brother, Donald Pace, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends who have become family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Esther Monaco, Tina Saba, and Vincent Pace, and former wives, Mary (Moni) Catherine Pace and Denise Pace. He coached all of his kids in sports and loved watching his grandkids grow up. He was known for his willingness to help friends and family, and his incredible sense of humor. Nick loved to relive his glory days of athletic prowess including playing quarterback (when he was known as “The Little General”) of the 1961 State Champion Dover St. Joseph Ramblers. Nick received his degree from Kent State University and proudly practiced as an accountant up until his last days. Nick was a fighter. His son Eric made sure that Nick’s last years were the best they could be and Nick was endlessly grateful for Eric’s unwavering care.
