Age 93 passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 21, 2021 which happened to be Tou Agiou Pnevmatos in English we refer to it as The Holy Spirit and the day after Father’s Day. Born in Anavritos (Vourlan) Kilkis, Greece to his late parents Nikos and Erini (Eliades) Koinoglou in 1928. Even though he was from the old country, he loved his Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers. He was an outdoorsman. His passion was hunting and fishing. As he immigrated to the US in the 1950’s, his first employer was Sugardale Foods. He then retired from Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed his snowbird months in Florida for many years with his Canadian and New York friends playing “Biriba” or “KoumKan” everyday. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and AHEPA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his lovely wife Xristodoula, granddaughter Isabella Koinoglou, sister Despina Papadopoulos brothers Zaharias and Thanasi Pertsinides, and his dear Godson Pete Karasarides.
