Rhonda Faye (Curry) Bachelor was born at Mt. Sinai Hospital on August 18, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio through the union of the late Leon M. Curry, Sr. and Willa Faye Hardin. She was a very special and loving person and had many big dreams as a child. She was very photogenic and always wanted to be the star of every photo, noticing her smile. She graduated from McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio where her biggest accomplishment was being part of the Carol Kuntz Marching Band, either twirling a baton or playing the xylophone. She was baptized at Faith United Christian Church, so you know why she was a beautiful soul.
During her adult life, she had two passions for career choices: Police Officer or the medical field. After a brief stint in the culinary arts, where she prepared meals for the likes of Percy Snow and Jerome Bettis, she chose the medical field. She was an STNA for about 25 years of her life. During that time period, on September 3, 2010, she met the love of her life, Ira T. Bachelor. In less than a year, they were married on April 23, 2011 in a private ceremony and later that year on August 21, 2011 in a public ceremony in front of family and friends.
In 2017 she decided on a different career path, the Postal Service. She loved vacationing to South Carolina, Virginia Beach, and Daytona Beach, her three favorite destinations. She was also a car girl who loved racing her Dodge Charger up and down the freeway. Rhonda was also very compassionate; visiting family when they were in the hospital or consoling family when at a funeral. She was a very strong and stubborn young woman who survived three heart attacks and lived to talk about it.
After the passing of Leon M. Curry, her known father, she was introduced to another half of her family and was immediately loved by them for the remainder of her life. Everyone will truly miss her! God called his angel to heaven on September 8, 2023. The world will not be the same without her.
She was preceded in death by her known father Leon M. Curry and brother Leon M. Curry II (Mitchell). She leaves behind her mother Willa Faye Curry, her biological father Lonnie Hughes, her husband Ira T. Bachelor, mother-in-law Jennifer Sizemore, four children, four grandchildren, daughter-in-law, siblings from Cleveland; Apyrl, Cherie, Nina, Chris, Asia, Reva, and Cheltina, brother-in-law Jarvis and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, medical friends, postal friends, and childhood friends. It was an honor to have her apart of our lives! Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 17th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Rossi Family Funeral Home.
