Richard A. “Rick” Dunne, Jr. (69), of Jackson Township, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in Shreveport, LA to the late Richard A. Dunne, Sr. and Avis (Hughes) Dunne. Rick was a 1972 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He retired due to his illness in November 2022 from Veterans Contracting Inc. after 40 plus years in the construction trade. He was an avid golfer in leagues at The Legends of Massillon and The Elms, and he loved The Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football. Rick is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years Pamela Dunne; children Meghan Dunne (Steven Kofsky), Lindsey Kelly (Cody Kelly), and Zachary Dunne; grandson Khaniya Dunne Kofsky; sisters Laurie (Gary) Osborne and Terry Shelton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Cleveland Clinic Main, Cleveland Clinic Akron General, and Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Donations may be made to maggiesmissionrescue.org, Aultman Compassionate Care Center, or the Stark County Dog Warden.

As per his wishes, there will be no public services.
