Rosemary Manello Obituary

In Loving Memory of our mother, Rosemary Manello.

April 16, 1928 – April 1, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rose Mary Manello, who peacefully left us at the age of 95. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones on April 1, 2024.

Rosemary was born on April 16, 1928 to Willis “Tex” Fletcher and Alice Mildred Gordon in Canal Fulton, Ohio. She grew up in Canal Fulton, where she developed her strong sense of compassion, resilience, and dedication to her family. At a young age, she experienced the loss of her brother Lance Corporal James Fletcher, U.S.M.C. who died during the conflict on the island of Saipan during World War II. Her brothers Don and Edward Fletcher also both proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. She endured polio and had many operations as a child which left her foot deformed; however, she never let her infirmity hold her back. Instead, she strove to provide care and assistance to those in need including her neighbors, her friends, and her family.

Rosemary's life epitomized kindness and grace, leaving an enduring impression on all who crossed her path. As the devoted wife of Frank "The Barber" Manello, who preceded her, and a loving mother to Frank Jr., Sandi, and James Silvio Manello, her family was her greatest source of pride and joy. Her role as a cherished grandmother to Frank William Manello, Thomas Manello, Kristen Klotz, Jennifer Warner, Jamie Klotz, and Anthony James Manello, as well as a loving great-grandmother to William, Jane, Chloe and Maz Manello, Justin Klotz and Aiden Meyers, filled her with immense happiness and fulfillment.

Beyond her family, Rosemary had a deep passion for animals. Ringo, Samantha, and Fritzy weren't just pets; they were valued members of the family whom she trained and cared for with unwavering dedication. Rosemary's love and compassion extended to all creatures, leaving a lasting legacy of empathy and care.

The memory of Rosemary will persist, inspiring and uplifting those she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, cherished for generations. Fondly remembered for her strength, laughter, and homemade spaghetti sauce shared during visits, she embodied warmth, love, and boundless enthusiasm for life, inspiring all who knew her.

While her absence leaves a profound void, Rosemary's presence will endure eternally in our hearts, a beacon of love, resilience, and compassion. Her spirit will serve as a perpetual source of guidance and inspiration for the journey ahead.

There will be no calling hours. A private ceremony for immediate family will be held at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Congregation of the Divine Spirit
2812 Harvard Avenue, NW Canton, OH 44709, in honor of Rosemary Manello.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

The family expresses profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate staff of the House of Loreto, as well as to the sisters of the Congregation of the Divine Spirit who tirelessly cared for our mother, ensuring she was never alone in her final days.
