RUTH “BOOTS” CAPOBIANCO, age 89 of Canton, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday after an extended illness. Born in Canton to the late Mike and Sarah (Trbovich) Babics she was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Capobianco, brothers Joe, George, Nick, Mike, Eli, sisters Mildred, Sophie, Dorothy and Violet. A graduate of McKinley High School, she was a member of St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. Ruth was very active in her church and their organizations including singing in the church choir. She is survived by her children Mike and Mary Capobianco of DesMoines, Iowa, Michelle and John Guidone of Canton, three grandchildren; Nick and Michelle Capobianco, Mikaela Capobianco, John and Lindsay Guidone, four great-grandchildren; Michael and Lia Capobianco, Nolan and Hayden Guidone, sisters-in-law Jane Babics, Louise Simile, Toni Bardine, Jean and Don Haidys, brother-in-law Dave and Dorothy Capobianco and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm with Pomen Service at 4:30 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 10:30 am with funeral services following at 10:30 am at St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Basil Shaheen officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 4663 Applegrove St. N.W., North Canton, OH, 44720.
