Sharon D. Sterling-Elhage

Sharon D. Sterling-Elhage, age 58 of Canton, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020. She was born on August 11, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio. Sharon was a 1979 graduate of GlenOak High School; she continued her studies at the College of Wooster where she received her Bachelor's Degree in English. She was a nine-time All America Swimmer and was inducted into the College of Wooster's Athletic Hall of Fame, and into the Greater Canton Aquatic Swimming Hall of Fame. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walsh University. She practiced as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and had been an English teacher at Malvern High School for many years. Sharon was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Gabriel Y. El-Hage Boutros of Canton; her parents William and Marilyn Sterling; and three brothers William (Kaye) Sterling of Minnesota, Scott Sterling of Granville, Ohio, and Dennis (Donna) Sterling of Worthington, Ohio. She also leaves behind, an aunt, an uncle, four cousins, seven nieces and nephews and countless friends and colleagues in Canton and throughout the country, as well as in Lebanon. She is also survived by her beloved Golden Retriever, Willow. There will be a private service for immediate family. The family will communicate to all those who loved and cared for her the details for an event to celebrate Sharon’s life.
