Timothy D. Hume 2/18/1948-11/21/2021
Tim passed on to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Tim was a man of great faith. He lived most of his life in the Canton, Ohio area. He graduated from Marlington High School and went on to do a tour in Vietnam. Tim served 30 years as a Stark County Deputy Sheriff. After his retirement, he was with the U.S. Marshall’s service for 17 years, working in the Canton U.S. Federal Building.
Tim’s hobbies were playing golf with the Stark County Sheriff’s League for many years. He loved building things in his workshop and loved his Pittsburgh Steelers! Tim was always known as being kind and never spoke negatively about anyone. He dearly loved his soulmate and wife, Sue. They could always be seen out and about together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ardeth Hume; sisters, Debbie and Janet; great-granddaughter, Riley Marihugh. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; daughter Jacquelyn (John) McClish, Renee (Steve) Schemine; grandchildren Megan (Andrew) Marihugh and Jared (Alana) Bendetta; great-grandchildren Grant, Benjamin, Samuel and Julia; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at United Methodist Cemetery in Alliance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Tim will be missed terribly by his family, friends and everyone who was blessed to know him.
