Walter Lauer, Jr. Obituary

Walter W. Lauer, Jr., age 92 of Canton, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. He was born in Graysville, Ohio on February 18, 1932 to the late Walter, Sr. and Clara (Smith) Lauer. Walter proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later retired from General Tire. He loved to study astronomy and family lineage, making a large family tree of his own.

Walter is survived by his children Michael (Linda) Lauer, Ina (Norman) Lauer, and Patrick (Jan) Lauer; three grandchildren Seth (Andrea) Lauer, Andrew (Porchae) Lauer, and Caleb Lauer-Butala; and four great-grandchildren Atticus, Atlas, Maliyah, and Myles. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marolyn (Mikes) Lauer.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations, in Walter's name, may be made to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (5001 Angel Canyon Rd. Kanab, UT 84741).
