Richard D. Bernard, age 77 of Plain Township, passed away Saturday afternoon. Born in Canton to the late John and Lucy (Ziccardi) Bernard, he was a proud member of the Class of 1958 of Jackson High School. Richard went on to graduate from the University of Akron after serving in the US Army. He was a retired accountant and member of St. Paul Catholic Church of North Canton. He is survived by many loving family and friends including his wife of 56 years, Carmel (Nicodemo), daughter and son-in-law Annette and Danny Moulton and their children Heather, Burnie, Noah and Arianna, sons and daughters-in-law: Richard J. and Sylvia Bernard and their children Ricky, Tyler and RJ; Vince and Lesley Bernard and their children Sophia and Isabella; Keith and Danielle Bernard and their children Avaliece and Cecelia; also by sister Mary Ann (Marcurio) D'Orazio, brother David (Linda) Bernard and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Family and friends may meet at St. Paul's church Wednesday morning at 10:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
